BME TFK AUTUMN CONFERENCE 2022

The Centre for Interpreter and Translator Training (TFK) at BME’s Centre for Modern Languages hosts its traditional Autumn Conference for Interpreters and Translators on 30 September 2022, starting at 2.00 pm, entitled MACHINE TRANSLATION AND POST-EDITING COMPETENCE: THEORY, PRACTICE, AND TRAINING.

The conference will also enjoy the support of the European Commission (labelled as a Translation Europe Workshop (TEW) event) where discussions will centre around the topic already addressed at our Trainees Meet Professionals event held in March with a focus on machine translation (MT) and post-editing (MTPE). In addition to the three plenary sessions, two workshops are also planned: a Trainer-Trainer Talk will focus on the pedagogical aspects of the topic with trainers from various Hungarian training institutions, and the Translating Europe Workshop will be held with the involvement of various market representatives (translation agencies, associations, etc.).
